Brins Mesa Trailhead | Visit Sedona

Brins Mesa Trailhead

A short distance from Uptown, yet far enough away to enjoy the night sky.

Although this is a short distance from Uptown Sedona, you will be far enough away from the ambient light to have fantastic views of the night sky. When there’s a full moon, you may even be able to see the outline of the surrounding red rocks! The clear desert skies provide an amazing view of the stars, and the trailhead offers a great vantage point. Pack a blanket, snacks, and make a night of it. Don't forget to bring a telescope or binoculars for an even closer look at the stars.

Viewing Tip: Take in the night sky right from the parking lot.

Driving Directions: From the Visitor Center, 331 Forest Road, turn left on SR 89A. At the circle, take the 2nd exit 0.7 miles; turn left on Park Ridge Drive, 0.4 miles to the trailhead. Use caution on the forest road section after sunset.

Amenities: Pet-friendly (leash required), restrooms, picnic table. Red Rock Pass is required at this parking lot. This trail is within Congressionally Designated Wilderness — no bikes or mechanized equipment allowed.
