Join the expressive and awe-inspiring LYDIA GATZOW ARTIST DEMO from 1pm to 3pm on Thursday, August 6, at Mountain Trails Gallery Sedona in beautiful Tlaquepaque. As an added feature, Lydia has chosen to donate a percentage from the sale of her most recent painting, “Boynton Canyon Monsoon” (48 x 60 oil), to the wildland firefighters from the Sedona Fire District. Painting before and after the “Pocket Fire” north of Sedona has touched Lydia deeply. For an artist who loves this unique City of Sedona as much as anyone could, she speaks about her renewed awareness of the heights and depths of living life to the fullest. “Boynton Canyon Monsoon" represents so much of my experience living in and loving this landscape so deeply since I moved here in 2019. I have been captivated by skies and clouds for a while, and now more than ever, I see how they represent impermanence, mirroring forces that both take and give life, as we simultaneously witness monsoon season and the outbreak of the pocket fire.
