Saturday, September 19th, starting at 11 am, Mountain Trails Gallery Sedona in Tlaquepaque is delighted to host the Anton Nowels Artist Demo, where this celebrated contemporary landscape painter will be speaking about his array of techniques and inspirations that come together as he creates a new landscape painting that will be worthy of any collection.
Anton draws inspiration from the light, atmosphere, and vast landscapes of the American West, as he creates paintings that emphasize memory, emotion, and place over literal representation. Emotive and expressive moments come alive in his paintings that set up a conversation of styles. “My work focuses on bringing together abstraction, impressionism, and plein air. I want my paintings to seem like something that has been seen—a memory—rather than a record of what is in front of me."
