May 14, 2021

A Memorable Day Out for Your Entire Family! Don't miss the fabulous Oak Creek Arts and Craft Show!

A big draw for this event is the inspiring presence of a Native American Dance Troupe. Members of the Sinquah family will appear in two premier live performances on Saturday, May 29. The first performance celebration will take place in front of the Los Rosales Restaurant at noon. The second performance will take place at Sedona Vista Village at 1 p.m.

Want to know more about these talented traditional indigenous performers? Rooted in the heart of the Hopi, Tewa, and Choctaw nations, these dancers consist of Moontee and his two sons, Sampson and Scott. These talented virtuoso Sinquah family members have presented at the World Champion Hoop Dancing Contest held at the Heard Museum in Phoenix. To catch sight of these amazing hoop dancers live, you don't even have to visit Vancouver, Toronto, Croatia or the Winter Olympics in Atlanta. Yes, the Sinquah family have appeared at all these places and many more as well. On Saturday it's all happening right here in Arizona. The dancers believe that to entertain is to educate and hoop dancing is a way of celebrating the traditions and passing on the torch to youth and to all community members. What a beautiful way to link all nations of the world together! All are welcome! You don't want to miss this exciting celebration of healing medicine.
