Couples Insights Guided Land Journey
Venturing out on the red rocks and into a secluded canyon oasis to gain insights on your relationship is an adventure that many of the SpiritQuest clients have appreciated and loved. Sedona, Arizona is the perfect place for such an adventure as the topography offers a plethora of nooks and crannies to retreat.
Recently, Paul and Tamera embarked on such a journey in the region of Schnebly Hill. The hike was short, giving them time to find a smooth patch of sandstone where they could kick their shoes off and dive into a personal conversation about their lives and plans for the future. Their couples coaching session was intimate, transparent, and fruitful.
Paul remarked, “I was relieved to discuss our partnership in such a safe way. The location was inspiring and peaceful, while our practitioner guided our communication session with such grace. I gained a lot of tools and my wife and I will incorporate the insights into our relationship moving forward.”
Their adventure further unfolded upon their return to the retreat center. Paul and Tamera regrouped from their outdoor session only to relax and unwind during their sound bath.
Sound Bath in Sedona
Some may inquire as to what breathwork consists of, but for their couple’s retreat, Paul & Tamera realized it was an important part of their journey. Side by side, they lay on soothing floor pads with pillows and blankets while the facilitator guided their journey with a variety of instruments (such as crystal bowls), all designed to provide various frequencies for energetic alignment.
As evening approached, Paul and Tamera returned to their lodging choice – the Owl Room in Oak Creek Canyon. This all-inclusive option allowed them to seamlessly integrate their day out on the Creekside private deck, with spectacular red rock views.
Couples Communication Coaching
The next morning was crisp and calm. After walking the gardens and listening to the bubbling fountain at the Owl Room Haven, the couple embarked on their second day at the SpiritQuest retreat center in West Sedona. Next on the agenda was their couple’s communication session. In this segment, Paul and Tamera were gently guided, by a professional coach, to use specific techniques while communicating to validate each other, express deep emotions, and solve problems while keeping each other “safe.”
Tamera said, “I feel that this was one of the most valuable sessions I have ever had. The steps were concrete and very doable. I loved the validation piece, and I now realize that sometimes that’s all I really needed.”
Couples Chakra Connection
Following the communication piece, the couple sat on pillows on the floor, across from each other and while guided by their couple’s coach, they spoke to each other about how they could support each other.

“I encourage you to share your deepest emotions with me, and I with you, to increase trust and intimacy.”

“I let go of resentments; I step into forgiveness, honesty, and love.”
Throat Chakra:
“I encourage your voice and vow to become a better listener.”
Third Eye Chakra:
“I want both of us to trust our insights and intuition.”
Crown Chakra:
“I know that both of us will continue to grow and expand spiritually together.”
Red Rock Vow Renewal
Emerging from this intimate sharing of mutual support, Paul and Tamera were feeling confident and connected enough to head out for a sunset vow renewal ceremony at one of the vortex sites of Sedona, Arizona. This was the highlight of their trip. The sun was sleepily sinking toward the horizon, with each magnificent moment the opposing red rocks lit up with reflected light causing a beautiful array right in front of them.
Guided by a spiritual couple’s coach, each took time to write their new commitments to each other. Each shared a rose with the other and spoke their words of truth. All just in time to get a number of photo shots of the breathtaking scenery in the background.
