COMMUNITY CAMP OUT – Friday at 4:00 p.m. until Saturday at 10:00 a.m. – Campout at Sunset Park with all of the enjoyments of the outdoors and none of the draw backs to camping in the wild. Sedona Parks and Recreation is pleased to offer this great opportunity to go camping with food provided, activities organized and restrooms nearby, all while you are surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Sedona! Tents can be provided as well!
July 4, 2017:
4th OF JULY WET FEST – from 12:00–4:00 p.m. – Spend your 4th of July “day” with us and still have time to drive to your favorite fireworks show at night. Enjoy lunch and music, a swimming pool and water slide fun all surrounded by the spectacular red rocks of Sedona. This event is free of charge (food not included). The pool opens at 12:00 p.m. for free recreation swim and just outside the pool gate will be food for sale and fun water games and toys to help you beat the heat. The pool is located at 570 Posse Ground Road (behind West Sedona School).
July 15, 2017:
A DOG’S DAY OUT IN THE PARK – The City of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department cordially invites all animal lovers and dog owners to support our pet-friendly event, A Dog’s Day Out in the Park. This event is being held Saturday, July 15 from 7:00–9:00 a.m. on the multi-use field at Posse Grounds Park. This event is free for those interested in playing with their dogs on the beautiful grass field.

SEDONA HUMMINGBIRD FESTIVAL – International Hummingbird Society presents the annual celebration of hummingbirds. The event is three days of engaging presentations by nationally recognized hummingbird experts in the fields of science, gardening, rehabilitation, banding, storytelling, and more. Festival highlights include Sunrise Hummingbird Breakfasts at known ‘hummingbird hotspots,’ hummingbird garden tours, hummingbird banding demonstrations, and a marketplace for nature/hummingbird-themed merchandise.
August 26, 2017:
SEDONA BIKE & BREW – The 4th Annual Sedona Bike & Brew will be switching things up a bit this year. Racing will be hosted on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday morning organized group rides will be leaving hourly. Group rides will be organized by ability, distance and difficulty.

RED ROCKS MUSIC FESTIVAL presents its 16th season, September 8th- September 16th, 2017. SEDONA AIRPORT FAMILY FUN DAY – Sedona Airport will host a family fun day on September 16, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. See lots of really cool aircraft – from old military, antiques and restored to new, modern, state of the art aircraft with full glass cockpits. Walk and talk with pilots and learn about the world of aviation.

SEDONA WINEFEST – Welcome to the 9th Annual Sedona Winefest! We invite you to enjoy fabulous Arizona wines, tasty food, live music, and vendors galore while enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic red rocks. This year the Winefest takes place on Saturday and Sunday September 23 – 24 from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Posse Grounds Park in the heart of Sedona.

SEDONA ARTS FESTIVAL – Held on the campus of Sedona Red Rock High School – A favorite in the Southwest, the festival showcases 126 juried artists, the Gourmet Gallery, an international guest artist, and KidZone, as well as great music, food, and raffle prizes. PUMPKIN SPLASH – From 1:00–3:00 p.m. – Bring your bathing suit and join your friends at the best pumpkin patch in Sedona! The Sedona Community Pool will be home to pumpkins ready for the picking… Out of the water that is! This unique event is fun for all ages. There will also be some classics and some new games for kids on the pool deck to play and compete in. Everyone entering the pool facility, adults and children alike, must pay a $5 entry fee, which includes a pumpkin to take home.
RED ROCKS OKTOBER FEST – CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL – Oktoberfest will support many local causes and will benefit the Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks and our efforts within the community. This event is produced by and benefits The Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks, a local charitable organization whose purpose is to demonstrate “Service Above Self.” Oktoberfest will support many local causes and will benefit the Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks and our efforts within the community.
FALL ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW AT THE SEDONA HERITAGE MUSEUM 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., free. This show is an old-fashioned arts and crafts show like you remember them to be. All items are hand-made. The artist or craftsman sits behind each table to personally tell you how they make their pieces, where they find their unusual materials or what inspires them. Many of these people do only this show or a very limited number of other shows making their items unusual and uncommon.

The MURAL MARIGOLD PROJECT for DIA DE LOS MUERTOS – Participate in creating this amazing public mural in the Calle Independencia where visitors and community members can honor the loss of loved ones in their lives and connect with one another though art and public expression. All week the public is invited to paint on the mural 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. Free.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION at Tlaquepaque – Join us in the courtyards on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. to make an offering at the Celebration of Dia de los Muertos. Music, food and beautiful altars will be on view. Watch fire dancers and visit our thematic face painting booths. Costumes are encouraged. Ofrenda or Offering, in the traditional Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos, is created to remember the dead and to honor ancestors.

31st ANNUAL SAFE AND FUN TRICK OR TREAT – In Uptown Sedona, October 31 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., merchants welcome ghouls and ghosts at storefronts for treats! BREAKFAST WITH SANTA – Sedona Parks and Recreation is pleased to invite you to our Annual Breakfast with Santa event! This two hour event combines a warm breakfast and Santa Claus! This event will be held at the Sedona Hub in Posse Grounds Park. After breakfast, children can enjoy making winter crafts, as well as sitting on Santa’s lap. This event is free of charge, so come for the pancakes (and more), come for the crafts, and most of all, come to see Santa Claus!

THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS-The Lighting of 6,000 Luminarias – Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. This one day event – A cherished tradition which involves visitors and locals to help light six thousand luminarias in Tlaquepaque’s courtyards and walkways at 5:00 p.m. Entertainment abounds with carolers, choirs and musicians. Specially designated Luminarias honoring cancer survivors can be purchased.

Sedona Stumble 5-Mile Trail Run – Saturday, TBD at 9:00 a.m. – Sedona’s FIRST and ONLY trail race! Race through the dirt trails of Posse Grounds Park! Registration includes a free race water bottle. All finishers will receive a medal and age group trophies will be awarded. $30 registration per person.
Sedona Food Truck Festival – Saturday, TBD from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Held at Posse Grounds Park, this event will feature great food, live music and a beer garden. Admission is free! Grub, Brews and Tunes!

CELEBRATION OF SPRING – This is much more than just an egg hunt, this is a Celebration of Spring! Join us March 31 from 9:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m. for this fun, action packed event for families and all those in the community that enjoy spring and the beautiful outdoors. Inflatable toys for kids, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, carnival rides, duck races and much more are included with the admission fee for the youth attendees. $5 for attendees 12 and younger.

CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION AT TLAQUEPAQUE – Immerse yourself in a colorful Fiesta saluting a rich heritage on Saturday, May 5, 2018 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Tlaquepaque. Enjoy the festivities while cheering and whistling to the music of mariachi musicians, clapping to the steps of Folklorico dancers and savoring traditional Mexican food. GREAT SEDONA CHILI COOK-OFF – The Rotary Club of Sedona’s annual fundraiser, The Great Sedona Chili Cook-Off is on the Saturday of the Cinco de Mayo weekend at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. All proceeds from the Chili Cook-Off are used for local and international Rotary Club of Sedona Projects, including the Imagination Library.
