March 3-5, 2017:
The Sedona MTB Festival is 3-day mountain bike celebration that will include a Main Expo/Festival, Bike Demos, Shuttled Rides, a Beer Garden, great Bands for (3) nights and a whole lotta sweet RED SINGLETRACK!

Sedona Yoga Festival logoSEDONA YOGA FESTIVAL – Deepen your practice and tap into ancient wisdom with three days of yoga, music and energy work in the undisputed spiritual center of the West. March 11, 2017:
47th ANNUAL ST. PATRICK’S PARADE – Saturday, March 11 along Jordan Road in Uptown Sedona. Free event presented by the City of Sedona, NAU Parks and Recreation Program, and Sedona Green Team. 47th Annual Parade starts at 10:30 a.m.


March 16 – 19, 2017:
by top neuroscientists – Thursday March 16 (10:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.) at the Sedona Performing Arts Center (995 Upper Red Rock Loop Rd.). We all face aging. Learn from a panel of neuroscientists, on how to best navigate those future waters. Free Event.

March 25, 2017:

Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 9:00 am – Sedona’s FIRST and ONLY trail race! Race through the dirt trails of Posse Grounds Park! Registration includes a free race water bottle. All finishers will receive a medal and age group trophies will be awarded. $25 per person before March 1, 2017 and $30 per person from March 1 – 25, 2017.

April 5-9, 2017:
connie-kupka-david-speltz-160x80SEDONA SPRING MUSIC FESTIVAL – The Speltz family, cellist David Speltz and violinist Connie Kupka, are two of Los Angeles’ most respected artists who perform on a regular basis in the Los Angeles studios, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the California Chamber Symphony Society.  For more details, read here.

April 8, 2017:
taste-of-provence-160x80Tlaquepaque, a Taste of Provence
Mix and mingle with 12 artists and craftsmen from Provence right here in Tlaquepaque on Saturday April 8th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm during a fabulous day of cultural exchange and a delight for all of your senses. Listen to the music and vocals from three outstanding French bands with songs in French and English. Watch as a master glass worker creates one-of-a-kind stunning glass beads and other objects of art. Experience live demonstrations of painting and drawing with a decidedly French flair. Taste delicious wines from the award winning wine country in Provence along with tasty little bites by a French chef. Smell the aromas as you anticipate a sumptuous meal prepared by both chef Walter of Rene’s and guest chef Marie Pierre Gall from Provence. This exotic Taste of Provence will give you a luscious look into Provence right here in our beloved red rock country. Free.

April 15, 2017:

– This is much more than just an egg hunt, this is a Celebration of Spring! Join us April 15 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for this fun, action packed event for families and all those in the community that enjoy spring and the beautiful outdoors. Inflatable toys for kids, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, carnival rides, duck races and much more are included with the admission fee for the youth attendees. $5 for attendees 12 and younger.

tween-160x80CELEBRATION OF TWEEN –  With the rides all set up for the Celebration of Spring event, we thought why not invite the bigger kids to play in the afternoon! Children ages 10-14 (5-8 grade) are invited to play at this event from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Try out the inflatable indoor laser tag and more! $5 admission fee for youth attendees.

April 28-30, 2017:
open-studio-160x80SEDONA OPEN STUDIOS TOUR – Free, self-guided event celebrating the arts in the greater Verde Valley that runs from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily. The tour provides a unique opportunity to meet over 50 artists in their private studios, working in a variety of mediums. Maps and informative brochures will be available in a number of locations or at our website. May 6, 2017:
cinco-de-mayo-160x80CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION AT TLAQUEPAQUEImmerse yourself in a colorful Fiesta saluting a rich heritage on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 11:00am to 5:00pm at Tlaquepaque. Enjoy the festivities while cheering and whistling to the music of mariachi musicians, clapping to the steps of Folklorico dancers and savoring traditional Mexican food.  Admission is Free and there is a free trolley service from the Sedona Municipal parking lot-260 Schnebly Rd. Stop in and be a judge at the Great Sedona Chili Cook- Off.
chili-cook-off-logo-rotary-160x80GREAT SEDONA CHILI COOK-OFF – The Rotary Club of Sedona’s annual fundraiser, The Great Sedona Chili Cook-Off is on the Saturday of the Cinco de Mayo weekend at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. All proceeds from the Chili Cook-Off are used for local and international Rotary Club of Sedona Projects, including the Imagination Library.

May 31 – June 4:
illuminate-160x80ILLUMINATE Film Festival – The world’s premier film festival for conscious cinema. Dedicated to spreading enlightened ideas and pushing humanity forward, ILLUMINATE is a landmark destination event and centerpiece for conscious content. Our mission is to expand human consciousness through cinema.


June 2-3, 2017:
COMMUNITY CAMP OUT – Friday at 4:00 pm until Saturday at 10:00 am – Campout at Sunset Park with all of the enjoyments of the outdoors and none of the draw backs to camping in the wild. Sedona Parks and Recreation is pleased to offer this great opportunity to go camping with food provided, activities organized and restrooms nearby, all while you are surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Sedona! Tents can be provided as well!


July 4, 2017:
4th OF JULY WET FEST – from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Spend your 4th of July “day” with us and still have time to drive to your favorite fireworks show at night. Enjoy lunch and music, a swimming pool and water slide fun all surrounded by the spectacular red rocks of Sedona. This event is free of charge (food not included). The pool opens at 12:00 pm for free recreation swim and just outside the pool gate will be food for sale and fun water games and toys to help you beat the heat. The pool is located at 570 Posse Ground Road (behind West Sedona School).

July 15, 2017:
dogs-day-160x80A DOG’S DAY OUT IN THE PARK
– The City of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department cordially invites all animal lovers and dog owners to support our pet-friendly event, A Dog’s Day Out in the Park. This event is being held Saturday, July 15 from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. on the multi-use field at Posse Grounds Park. This event is free for those interested in playing with their dogs on the beautiful grass field.


September 9, 2017:
fiesta-del-tlaq-160x8045th ANNUAL FIESTA DE TLAQUEPAQUE – Join the 45th annual “Fiesta del Tlaquepaque,” a celebration of Mexican Independence Day, September 9th, 2017 11:00am to 5:00pm. Continuing a long tradition of fabulous food, music, dance and entertainment for young and old, this year’s Fiesta promises to be extraordinary. The lively mariachis, the heart pounding beats of Flamenco dancers, and, mouthwatering tastes of Mexico will fill the day. Admission is Free and there is a Free Trolley service from Sedona Municipal parking lot-260 Schnebly Rd.


October 7-8, 2017:
arts festival overview SEDONA ARTS FESTIVAL
– Held on the campus of Sedona Red Rock High School – A favorite in the Southwest, the festival showcases 126 juried artists, the Gourmet Gallery, an international guest artist, and KidZone, as well as great music, food, and raffle prizes. Admission supports arts education in our community.

October 21, 2017:
pumpkin-splash-160x80PUMPKIN SPLASH – From 1:00 – 3:00 p.m – Bring your bathing suit and join your friends at the best pumpkin patch in Sedona! The Sedona Community Pool will be home to pumpkins ready for the picking… Out of the water that is! This unique event is fun for all ages. There will also be some classics and some new games for kids on the pool deck to play and compete in.  Everyone entering the pool facility, adults and children alike, must pay a $5 entry fee, which includes a pumpkin to take home.

October 24-28, 2017:
mural-marigold-project-160x80The MURAL MARIGOLD PROJECT for DIA DE LOS MUERTOS – Participate in creating this amazing public mural in the Calle Independencia where visitors and community members can honor the loss of loved ones in their lives and connect with one another though art and public expression. All week the public is invited to paint on the mural 11:00am -5:00pm at Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. Free.

October 29, 2017:
dia-de-los-muertos-160x80DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION at Tlaquepaque
Join us in the courtyards on Saturday, October 28th, 2017 2:00pm to 8:00pm to make an offering at the Celebration of Dia de los Muertos. Music, food and beautiful altars will be on view.  Watch fire dancers and visit our thematic face painting booths. Costumes are encouraged. Ofrenda or Offering, in the traditional Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos, is created to remember the dead and to honor ancestors.

October 31, 2017:
31st ANNUAL SAFE AND FUN TRICK OR TREAT – In Uptown Sedona, October 31 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., merchants welcome ghouls and ghosts at storefronts for treats! Costume contests by age group; community dance performance. Free event presented by the City of Sedona plus Costume Contest in partnership with Uptown Merchants.


December 1-31, 2017:

HOLIDAY CENTRAL SEDONA – Sedona transforms into a red rock winter wonderland for the entire month of December with events, festivals, and entertainment sure to enchant everyone. Discover the perfect destination for families and friends to celebrate the holiday season, make memories and create new traditions – all in the most beautiful place on Earth.
December 1, 2017 – January 6, 2018:
red-rock-fantasy-160x80RED ROCK FANTASY at TLAQUEPAQUENew lights, new location but the same great community event will be held at Tlaquepaque this December. Enjoy walking through TINSEL TOWN and enjoy viewing community installations throughout the property. Sedona Parks and Recreations and Sedona Chamber of Commerce have partnered with Tlaquepaque to make this festive event bigger and better than ever. Free to the community stop by dusk to 9 p.m. nightly.
December 1, 2017:
SEDONA’S TREE LIGHTING & SANTA VISIT – On Friday, December 1, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Canyon Breeze Plaza in Uptown, enjoy the Tree-lighting, refreshments, local entertainment and Santa visits with children. Free event presented by Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau.
December 2, 2017:
BREAKFAST WITH SANTA – Sedona Parks and Recreation is pleased to invite you to our Annual Breakfast with Santa event! This two hour event combines a warm breakfast and Santa Claus! This event will be held at the Sedona Hub in Posse Grounds Park. After breakfast, children can enjoy making winter crafts, as well as sitting on Santa’s lap. This event is free of charge, so come for the pancakes (and more), come for the crafts, and most of all, come to see Santa Claus!
December 2-3, 2017:
THE NUTCRACKER – The Phoenix Ballet and Sedona Chamber Ballet will present breathtaking performances of The Nutcracker on December 2-3 at the Sedona Performing Arts Center. Enjoy a Nutcracker production with professional sets, costumes and, most importantly, internationally acclaimed, award winning dancers.


December 9, 2017:
festival-of-lights-160x80THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS-The Lighting of 6,000 Luminarias – Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 3:00pm – 8:00pm. This one day event – A cherished tradition which involves visitors and locals to help light six thousand luminarias in Tlaquepaque’s courtyards and walkways at 5:00pm. Entertainment abounds with carolers, choirs and musicians. Specially designated Luminarias honoring  cancer survivors can be purchased.


December 16, 2017:

February 3, 2018:
Sedona Marathon Logo
– The 13th Annual Sedona Marathon Event will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018. The Sedona Marathon Event will feature four distances sure to take your breath away: 5K, 10K, Half, and Full Marathon. This scenic race attracts athletes from around the globe to enjoy Sedona’s red rocks up close and personal. “If the scenery doesn’t take your breath away, the hills will!”
