‘The Handmaiden’ and ‘Christine’ Film Premieres

The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premieres of the critically-acclaimed new films “The Handmaiden” and “Christine” showing Dec. 2-8 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre. From Park Chan-wook, the celebrated director of “Oldboy”, “Lady Vengeance” and “Stoker”, comes a ravishing new crime drama. Park presents a gripping and sensual tale of two women — a young Japanese Lady living on a secluded estate, and a Korean woman who is hired to serve as her handmaiden.

Daily Guided Nature Walk

Every morning a volunteer naturalist leads a guided nature walk informing visitors about the different life zones of Red Rock State Park and sharing their knowledge of geology, wildlife, park history, archaeology, and plant life. The naturalists welcome questions during the walk. Hikes are included with park entrance fees. No reservations required.

‘Anastasia’ from the Royal Ballet

The Sedona International Film Festival presents Ballet in Cinema on Monday, Dec. 5 when it hosts the big screen premiere of “Anastasia” from the Royal Ballet in London. There will be one show at 4:00 p.m. at the festival’s Mary D. Fisher Theatre. “Anastasia” is Kenneth MacMillan’s powerful and compelling full length ballet based on the true story of the lost Russian Grand Duchess. Evocative sets and stunning costumes by Bob Crowley will transport audiences to the glittering heart of court.

Tinsel Town – New Location, New Lights, Same Great Community Event!

Enjoy a walk through beautiful Tlaquepaque while it is lit with lights and decorations all created by Sedona businesses, organizations and community members like you.  December 1 through January 1, 2017 you can walk through the lights nightly from dusk till 9 p.m.  This is a free event.  Parking is available in the main parking lots of Tlaquepaque. Off-site parking is also available in the Municipal parking lot with shuttle service to Tlaquepaque on Fridays and Saturdays (2,3,9,10,16,17,30 and 31).
