Sanders Jr., teaches attendees how to understand and tap Sedona’s famous Vortexes for enhanced prayer, meditation, mind/body healing and outside the box creative thinking. 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the Los Abrigados Resort (160 Portal Lane) $15/person. “Roots of Contentment” Art Show

Greg Lawson’s “Passion for Place” gallery in West Sedona celebrates spring with a focus on native & naturalized plant life in their “Roots of Contentment” image art show. The exhibition includes some of the world’s oldest trees and greatest stands of forest down to intimate floral details from six continents of the earth and even the sea. With the presence of a focused museum, the gallery serves as an inspiring photographic arts center and a sanctuary place to slow down and connect with nature.

‘Elvis & Nixon’ and ‘The Family Fang’ Film Premieres

The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premieres of “Elvis & Nixon” (starring Academy Award-nominee Michael Shannon and Academy Award-winner Kevin Spacey) and “The Family Fang” (starring Nicole Kidman, Jason Bateman and Christopher Walken) showing May 20-25 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre. In 1970, Elvis Presley (Michael Shannon) flies to Washington D.C. with the goal of convincing President Richard Nixon (Kevin Spacey) to deputize him as a federal agent.

Let’s Get Fit! Walk

Let’s Get Fit! Walk is a power walk that is scheduled for every Tuesday at 4:00 PM and ends at 5:00 PM. The walk begins with stretching led by a personal trainer and then the walkers go up Jordan Rd., taking some side streets and ending up at the Jordan Trail Head then return to the start point. The walkers complete 3 to 4 miles each Tuesday. Its fun and its free. The time changes with the seasons For more information call
