Llama Trail
A challenging, intermediate singletrack through the forest and over slick rock at the base of Lee Mountain. This trail has some technical spots, some big drops and is a multi-use trail with hikers.
Distance: From the Bell Rock Pathway parking lot to the Little Horse Trailhead parking lot, 2.7 miles. Return the same way or take the Little Horse Trail to the Bell Rock Pathway for a 6.2-mile loop.
Tip: The scenic surroundings make it difficult to keep your eyes on the trail. Follow cairns or tracks in slick rock areas to stay on the trail. Avoid the Courthouse Loop Trail which crosses into the Munds Mountain Wilderness where mountain bikes are prohibited.
Driving Directions: From the Visitor Center, 331 Forest Road, turn right on SR 89A. At the circle, take the 3rd exit to SR179 for 6.7 miles to the Bell Rock Pathway parking on the left.
Amenities: Restrooms at the Little Horse and Bell Rock Pathway parking lots. Red Rock Pass is required for parking.
