Sedona Symphony “Simple Gifts”—An American Music Celebration
Date:
Sunday, November 15 2026
Warm, nostalgic, and unmistakably American, this is the perfect concert to attend leading up to Thanksgiving. Symphony audiences may remember acclaimed violinist Rachel Lee Priday from the infamous “concert that wasn’t” in 2023, when she graciously stepped in for an unforgettable last-minute performance. This season, she returns in triumph with a brand-new concerto written especially for her by acclaimed Hollywood composer Carlos Garcia. From front-porch fiddling to sweeping open landscapes, Simple Gifts celebrates the many sounds of America. Aaron Copland’s beloved Appalachian Spring—featuring the famous Shaker tune “Simple Gifts”—brings the concert to a radiant close. Along the way, you’ll also discover spirited and colorful music by two fascinating American originals: Karen Amrhein and Henry Cowell. Come early at 2:00 pm to hear Maestro Will's pre-concert talk.
