Outdoor Film: ‘The Sandlot’ - Visit Sedona Events Calendar

Outdoor Film: ‘The Sandlot’

Date: Thursday, July 30 2026

It’s “Big Screen at Basecamp” as the Sedona International Film Festival partners with Sedona Beer Company for its “Movies on the Move” cinema under the stars outdoor film experience at Basecamp in West Sedona—every Thursday in the summer season! Join us on Thursday, July 30, as we present “The Sandlot” at Basecamp/Sedona Beer Company at dusk. Set in the summer of 1962, “The Sandlot” follows a shy, friendless fifth-grader named Scotty Smalls who moves to a new neighborhood. To fit in, he joins a ragtag group of local kids who play daily pick-up games at the local sandlot. The boys are led by Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez, who takes Smalls under his wing and teaches him how to play baseball. Together they all go on a series of funny and touching adventures. The boys run into trouble when Smalls borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over a fence. Basecamp will offer a selection of craft beers, food and beverages (and a special menu item themed to each film), with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Sedona International Film Festival. “The Sandlot” will be shown outdoors at Basecamp Sedona Beer Company (70 Dry Creek Road) on Thursday, July 30, at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at Basecamp and the Sedona Public Library. Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge. For advance tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Visit the film festival office at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A in West Sedona to get tickets in person.
