The Sedona International Film Festival is thrilled to announce that its popular Movies on the Move Outdoor Film Experience is coming to the beautiful Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village on select Tuesdays this summer. Movie lovers are invited to enjoy award-winning films under the stars in the unique ambience and grandeur of Tlaquepaque’s picturesque courtyards. Experience a memorable outdoor cinema experience in one of Sedona’s most iconic settings. Join us on Tuesday, June 30 as we present “Moonstruck” outdoors in the calle at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village. “Moonstruck” is a beloved 1987 romantic comedy. It was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It won three Oscars for Best Screenplay, Best Actress (Cher) and Best Supporting Actress (Olympia Dukakis). No sooner does Italian-American widow Loretta (Cher) accept a marriage proposal from her doltish boyfriend, Johnny (Danny Aiello), than she finds herself falling for his younger brother, Ronny (Nicolas Cage). She tries to resist, but Ronny lost his hand in an accident he blames on his brother and has no scruples about aggressively pursuing her while Johnny is out of the country. As Loretta falls deeper in love, she comes to learn that she's not the only one in her family with a secret romance. Guests are encouraged to bring their friends and family (and lawn chairs or blankets) and experience the magic of cinema beneath Sedona’s summer skies in the iconic setting of Tlaquepaque. “Moonstruck” will be shown outdoors at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village (336 State Route 179) on Tuesday, June 30, at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Parking is free and available at Tlaquepaque. Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
