How to Navigate Sedona Without a Car: Introducing Sedona Shuttle Connect

Starting August 29, 2024, the City of Sedona will make it easier for residents and visitors to get around town without a car by launching a new type of public transportation service: Sedona Shuttle Connect.

What is Sedona Shuttle Connect

Sedona Shuttle Connect is a shared-ride UberTM-like service providing curb-to-curb pickup and drop-off within its service area. In other words, call for it when you need it, and the shuttle comes to you. There may be other riders getting on and off along the way, just like sharing a cab.

How Sedona Shuttle Connect works

Using Sedona Shuttle Connect is simple. The service operates Thursday to Sunday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

If you are in the service area:

  • Download the TransLoc app on your mobile device or call 928-203-5152
  • Select "On Demand"
  • The app automatically recognizes where you are. Enter your drop-off location to get where you want to go
  • Hop on board - the shuttle comes to you!
  • Ride the shuttle to your selected drop-off

When you're ready to return home or get to your next destination, repeat the steps above.

How to pay for Sedona Shuttle Connect

You can pay for Sedona Shuttle Connect on the TransLoc app or with cash when you board. To pay with the app, first load a credit or debit card onto the app. To pay with cash, deposit exact cash in the farebox when you board. Drivers can't make change, so be sure you're ready with the exact fare for each person in your party.

How to get the TransLoc app

Download the app from your favorite app store. iPhone users can download on the App Store and Android users can get it on Google Play.

Where is the Sedona Shuttle Connect service area?

Sedona Shuttle Connect serves most of Sedona, including the Park & Ride lots for the free Sedona Shuttle trailhead service. The easiest way to know if you're in the service area is to use the TransLoc app on your phone. The app automatically knows if you (and your destination) are within the service area. You can also look at a map of the service area on SedonaShuttle.com or on the map below.

PRO TIP: Some of the popular shopping areas like Hillside Sedona Shopping Center and Uptown Sedona have their own designated pickup/drop-off location. Make sure you find the Shuttle Connect sign at each location when ordering a pickup.

Here's where to look for the sign:

Sedona Shuttle Connect is part of a bigger transit system

Sedona Shuttle Connect is designed to work together with Sedona Shuttle trailhead service and the Verde Shuttle. All shuttle vehicles are fully ADA accessible and equipped with bike racks.
