Sedona Chamber Increases Funding to Trails

SEDONA, Ariz. - Did you know that with the help of 10 extra sponsors added to the 25 committed sponsors since 2017, the Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau will generate $310,000 for the Sedona Red Rock Trail Fund (SRRTF) by 2022?

The Sedona Trail Keeper program has expanded from 25 business sponsors who committed $1,000 per year for five years, to 35 sponsors contributing $1,000 per year through 2021! Starting January 1, 2019, the SCC&TB will incorporate 10 extra sponsors match of private-sector investment, generating an additional $60,000 over the next three years, for a grand total of more than $310,000 for trail maintenance and development by 2022.

“Trail Keepers is an essential element of SRRTF’s mission accomplishment”, says Kevin Adams, President of the SRRTF. “Without Trail Keepers, our local non-motorized trails would be in peril.”

We all know the economic boon that tourism brings our community, but we also realize the not-so-great impacts to our land and resources. That’s why the Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau (SCC&TB) developed the Sedona Trail Keeper Program in 2017. This program has given businesses the opportunity to help sustain Sedona’s most grand attraction – the trail system.

This includes our incredible trail system of which I am a regular user. As a mortgage lender, my business relies on others who move to Sedona for the same reasons I did. I view my donation as an investment in the quality of my personal life AND an investment in my business.”
