The Science of Happiness: Rethinking Inner Wellbeing
Date:
Wednesday, May 20 2026
A free public talk with international spiritual teachers Dr. Prashant Kakoday and Sarah FitzGerald, visiting Sedona from Cambridge, UK, for the first time. A lot of what people call happiness today is built on stimulation, achievement, distraction, or short emotional highs. Beneath the surface, though, many still feel a kind of low-level restlessness, even when life looks fine from the outside. This 90-minute talk looks at well-being differently. Rather than treating it as something to chase or acquire, the talk explores how a sense of steadiness and contentment can come from within, through awareness, meditation, and inner work. Dr. Prashant Kakoday is an E.N.T. surgeon and 40+ year meditation teacher who has spoken at the WHO. Sarah FitzGerald is the program coordinator at the Cambridge Brahma Kumaris center. This is their first visit to Arizona. Wednesday May 20, 2026, 3:00-4:30 PM Quiet Room, Community Library Sedona Free. Booking required.
