Sedona Symphony Concert: The Romantics
Date:
Sunday, February 1 2026
Clara and Robert Schumann—partners in life and music—take center stage in this intimate and emotionally charged program. Clara’s luminous Three Romances, newly arranged for orchestra by William C. White, feature Sedona Symphony Concertmaster Sarah Schreffler as soloist. Robert Schumann’s deeply expressive Cello Concerto follows, performed by acclaimed young cellist Gabriel Martins, whose international career includes a personal connection to Sedona. The program concludes with Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, “Scottish,” a sweeping Romantic travelogue inspired by the misty landscapes and rugged beauty of Scotland. Together, these works celebrate friendship, passion, and the enduring power of Romantic expression.
