Historical fiction writer Bob Hogue will discuss his new novel, Loves of Sedona, which explores the fascinating history of Sedona's Red Rock Country and Oak Creek Canyon. The character-driven story spans the time period from the late 1800s to the present day, weaving a heartwarming tale of family and relationships against the backdrop of some of Sedona's lesser-known history. The book has been described as a riveting tale that truly captures the beauty and many facets of Sedona, making it a must-read for those who love the area. Bob Hogue is an author, hiker, photographer, amateur historian, and a former state legislator, athletics commissioner, and TV sportscaster. Loves of Sedona is his second novel. His first work of historical fiction, Sands of Lanikai, made several local bestseller lists in Hawaii in 2009 and 2010. Hogue served for 16 years as Commissioner of the NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference, retiring in 2023. He served two terms as a Hawaii State Senator from 2000 to 2006. Before that, he was a popular television sportscaster in Montana, Iowa, California, and Hawaii from 1977 to 1999. He also worked in radio in Arizona and Hawaii. Bob and his wife, Sherri, are retired and live in Sedona. Sedona Stories is held at 10 a.m. on the second Thursday of every month and is FREE! Loves of Sedona will be available for purchase.
