The Sedona Poetry Slam is back, with Portland, Ore., poet Briana Grace Hammerstrom featuring between the 3 rounds. Poets perform high-energy, 3-minute, original poems to elicit an emotional reaction from the crowd. Poems are judged by 5 randomly chosen members of the audience. No props, costumes nor musical accompaniment permitted. All ages event, but performances are uncensored. Poets come from all over the Southwest to win cash prizes.
