Outdoor Film: ‘Jaws’ - Visit Sedona Events Calendar

Outdoor Film: ‘Jaws’

Date: Thursday, June 11 2026

It’s “Big Screen at Basecamp” as the Sedona International Film Festival partners with Sedona Beer Company for its “Movies on the Move” cinema under the stars outdoor film experience at Basecamp in West Sedona—every Thursday in the summer season! Join us on Thursday, June 11, as we present “Jaws” at Basecamp/Sedona Beer Company at dusk. “Jaws” — directed by Steven Spielberg — was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It won three Oscars for Best Sound, Best Film Editing, and Best Original Score. When a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature. Basecamp will offer a selection of craft beers, food and beverages (and a special menu item themed to each film), with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Sedona International Film Festival. “Jaws” will be shown outdoors at Basecamp Sedona Beer Company (70 Dry Creek Road) on Thursday, June 11, at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at Basecamp and the Sedona Public Library. Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge. For advance tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Visit the film festival office at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona to get tickets in person.
