After an electric debut, award-winning composer, singer, and moderator Shondra Jepperson is thrilled to announce the next installment of the “In the Living Room Music Series.” On Monday, Feb. 2, at 7:00 p.m., the series continues at the Sedona International Film Festival’s Mary D. Fisher Theatre, featuring the powerhouse bluegrass and Western sounds of Reno and Sheila McCormick with virtuosic banjo player Paul Schiminger, known as Dusty Trail Mix. The McCormick duo has been a cornerstone of the Western acoustic scene since the 1980s, performing at major festivals from Colorado to Arizona. Reno, a master multi-instrumentalist, and Sheila, known for her driving bass and tight harmonies, will be joined by Nashville transplant and former IBMA Executive Director Paul Schiminger. Together, the trio brings a world-class, high-energy acoustic experience to the intimate Mary D. Fisher stage. “The response to this series has been beyond my wildest dreams,” says creator and moderator Shondra Jepperson. “These past two concerts proved that Sedona is hungry for that raw, 'unplugged' connection. I can’t wait for our audience to enjoy Reno, Sheila, and Paul as they help peel back the layers of each of their incredible careers and personal stories. The “Actor’s Studio gone music” format offers a rare personal look at the artist. As moderator, Shondra leads an interactive conversation, inviting the audience to engage directly with the performers to uncover the craft behind the music. Executive Director Patrick Schweiss noted the series' immediate impact: “We knew Shondra had a great concept, but seeing the audience so deeply engaged was something special. This series is quickly becoming the heartbeat of our Monday night programming.
