Get ready to be a part of the conversation as Mountain Trails Gallery Sedona extends an invitation to all art enthusiasts, collectors, and visitors. Beginning at 11 am on Saturday, March 21st, the multitalented artist Anton Nowels will begin a new painting demo at the gallery located inside Tlaquepaque as he uses a cross section of styles which can be described as both representational and abstract as he explores a variety of techniques that bring new life to storytelling. Nowels exhibits vibrant, interactive works of art developed from his study of not only plein air painting but also his love of contemporary art practices, such as performance, installation, and video, as he moves in and out of styles of painting, always keeping what is most essential to the story. His fascinating merger of techniques and variety of brushwork make the contemplative passages emerge well beyond the expectations of more commonly seen brushwork. Anton Nowels was awarded the "Best of Show" at the 2025 Sedona Plein Air Festival, and he has been chosen to be on the faculty at this year's Plein Air Convention & Expo taking place in May in the Ozarks. Mountain Trails Gallery is proud Anton Nowels will be available to share his time and talents with all who visit.
