Sunset Park

Sunset Park in Sedona is a great place to have a picnic because it offers a beautiful setting with stunning views of the surrounding red rock formations.

The park features several picnic tables and benches located in shady areas, providing comfortable seating and plenty of space for groups of all sizes. There are also barbecue grills available for use, allowing visitors to cook up a delicious meal while enjoying the park's natural beauty.

In addition to the picnic areas, Sunset Park also offers a variety of recreational activities, including two tennis courts, a basketball court/pickle ball court, 1/10 mile Lollipop Trail that connects to the Coconino National Forest and a large grassy field for playing Frisbee or soaking up the Arizona sun.

There is even a Splash Pad water feature for children to play. Open season runs May 1 through September 30.

Tip: The park is home to the .10-mile Lollipop Trail with access to the Airport Loop Trail and the Carroll Canyon Trail System.

Driving Directions: From the Visitor Center, 331 Forest Road, turn right on SR 89A for 2.2 miles. Turn left on Sunset Drive for 0.6 miles to the park entrance on the right.
