Sedona is surrounded by 1.8 million acres of open space and is known for its hiking trails that wind through the area’s famous Red Rocks.
In addition to the 400+ miles of trails, Sedona serves as a hub for access to six national monuments, two national parks (Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest), two national recreational areas (Glenn Canyon Dam and Lake Powell), three heritage sites, four museums, seven state parks and seven wilderness areas.
