Tactic A3.1

Additional Vehicle Charging Stations (mid-term goal)

Add additional vehicle charging stations in the Sedona area.

There are currently several charging stations around the City of Sedona. This tactic will seek to expand the number and location of stations by educating businesses on the installation process, cost incentives, and providing publicity in Chamber materials.

EV Charging Stations (mid-term goal)

Add additional vehicle charging stations in the Sedona area.

FY21 & FY20: As of June 2021, there are 3 total stations that have 6 ports total and the Jordan lot station came online. The City of Sedona is working with APS on permitting to install two ‘Level 2’ stations at Sunset Park and one DCFC station in Sedona. 
The City of Sedona is participating in developing a statewide Transportation Electrification Plan to provide a roadmap for TE connectivity in Arizona focused on air quality/economic development benefits and the impact of EV charging on the electrical grid.
The SCC&TB and the Sustainability Alliance worked with Sedona businesses to expand charging infrastructure through the APS Take Charge Arizona grant, which provides free charging spots.
