Sedona’s finest art galleries invite you to enjoy a special evening of openings, special guests, artist receptions and celebrations at their 1st Friday in the Galleries from 5 – 8pm. This free to enjoy event is the kick-off event for Sedona Arts Center’s Annual Plein Air Festival, a week-long festival and Sponsored by Sedona Main Street Program. It’s a great opportunity to see all the participating and nationally recognized Plein Air Artists in one place. Each artist is challenged to create a painting from start to finish in 2 ½ hours, using a subject in their surroundings along the sidewalks & plazas in Uptown and the Main Street District of Sedona.
A non-profit group whose mission is to facilitate a vibrant Main Street business district nurtured by volunteers, business and community involvement; the Program shares information, facilitates enhancement projects, promotes the District and encourages business productivity.

The Sedona Hummingbird Festival celebrates Sedona’s peak hummingbird population in August with entertaining and educational presentations, tours of gardens and hotspots, a hummer/nature shopping mall, and banding demonstrations and birding trips; sponsored by the International Hummingbird Society.
Save The Date for the 13th Annual Sedona Marathon Event will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018. The Sedona Marathon Event will feature four distances sure to take your breath away: 5K, 10K, Half, and Full Marathon. This scenic race attracts athletes from around the globe to enjoy Sedonas red rocks up close and personal. If the scenery doesn’t take your breath away, the hills will! Registration is open now.
Held on the campus of Sedona Red Rock High School – A favorite in the Southwest, the festival showcases 126 juried artists, the Gourmet Gallery, an international guest artist, and KidZone, as well as great music, food, and raffle prizes. Admission supports arts education in our community.
Open Studios Tour – Last weekend in April every year. This event is a celebration of the arts in the greater Verde Valley. This non-profit, artist-run event is free & provides visitors a unique opportunity to meet the artists and gain a first-hand view of their creative processes. There will be over 40 studios participating, working in a variety of mediums, such as: ceramics, painting, fiber, photography, jewelry, watercolors, and sculpture. The event is from 10 am to 5 pm daily.
The 46th Annual Sedona St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival on Saturday, March 12th is a cultural-heritage celebration that is free to attend. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. along Jordan Road from Jordan Historical Park to Mesquite Avenue. The free Festival begins immediately following the parade, featuring family activities and food booths until 3 p.m. This event is presented by Sedona Main Street Program, NAU Parks and Recreation Program and the Sedona Green Team. The Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks presents this Autumn craft beer festival on October 22 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Posse Grounds Park. 12+ craft breweries, wine, food, music and FUN! Wear your lederhosen or dirndl and join the crowds – all proceeds raised fund scholarships for Sedona kids.

Enjoy a walk through beautiful Tlaquepaque while it is lit with lights and decorations all created by Sedona businesses, organizations and community members like you. December 1 through January 1, 2017 you can walk through the lights nightly from dusk till 9 p.m. This is a free event. Parking is available in the main parking lots of Tlaquepaque. Off-site parking is also available in the Municipal parking lot with shuttle service to Tlaquepaque on Fridays & Saturdays (2,3,9,10,16,17,30 and 31)
The Rotary Club of Sedona’s annual fundraiser, The Great Sedona Chili Cook-Off is on the Saturday of the Cinco de Mayo weekend at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. All proceeds from the Chili Cook-Off are used for local and international Rotary Club of Sedona Projects.

In October the Sedona Arts Center presents a week-long celebration of Sedona’s extraordinary beauty as seen through the eyes and talent of thirty of the finest painters in the country. “En Plein Air”, a French term that translates to “in the open air”, describes paintings that have been created outdoors rather than in a studio. The spectacular red rock scenery and temperate climate of Sedona create the perfect location for plein air painting. Artists will be seen all over town.
Sedona Golf Resort is hosting The 4th Annual Sedona Bike & Brew Festival. We will be switching things up a bit this year. Racing will be hosted on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday morning organized group rides will be leaving hourly. Group rides will be organized by ability, distance and difficulty.
A patriotic themed laser light show will begin at the top of each hour (12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00p.m., and 3:00 p.m.) in the Performing Arts Center. Each show is 25 minutes in duration. Parking will be available at Red Rock High School. . Food vendors will be announced closer to the event time. Signage and Police Officers will be directing traffic.
