"Sedona"

Loretta Jones contacted the Sedona Chamber of Commerce and told us about a poem she had written about Sedona. The following is the poem that she has written and graciously given the Sedona Chamber of Commerce the permission to post it on this website.

I headed for the airport on one dreary day,
said my goodbyes and was on my way.
My destination was Sedona, Arizona, I called to say everything's okay.
Boy has it been a long day, I've got to find me a place to stay.
I'm far away from home in this big state all alone.
I found me a small town with red rocks all around.
Sedona's calling me that's where I want to be,
in the land where I feel free, Sedona is calling me.
With wide open spaces and friendly faces and lots of ground to roam,
There are beautiful sunsets and tall red mountains,
this is where I'd like to call home.
Sedona's calling me that's where I long to be,
in the land where I feel free, Sedona is calling me.
