WELCOME TO SEDONA
Sedona exists at an impossible intersection of soul-nourishing wilderness and pampered luxury—where soaring red rock monoliths cradle an array of resorts, spas, art galleries and boutique wineries. Our singer/songwriter of “Sedona Skies” Brittanny Bickman was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She started playing music and singing when she was around the age of 14. While attending school at Northwest Christian School, she was a member of the chorale choir that won the West Valley Junior Excellence Award from Arizona State University in the area of the Arts. Listen to “Sedona Skies” again!

Start with scenery that makes your heart leap. Sedona nestles among a geological wonderland. Multi-hued stone formations jut upwards from the high desert floor creating a vivid, mesmerizing setting that changes hourly with the light. When USA Weekend compiled their Most Beautiful Places in America list, Sedona claimed the top spot.
Surrounded by 1.8 million acres of national forest land, visitors have instant access to recreational activities. Trails for hiking and biking, along with bouncy jeep tracks, weave among the bristling forest of pinnacles, spires, buttes and domes. Yet, you’re never far from the indulgences of town.
Sedona is equal parts rugged, equal parts resort. Regarded by Native Americans as sacred, Sedona continues to be recognized as a place of healing and spiritual renewal. Many come to experience the vortex energy centers of Sedona. Others want to prowl the 40-plus art galleries lining the streets, or to receive soothing treatments from the dozens of spa facilities. Most recently, with its nearby vineyards and tasting rooms,Sedona has emerged as a destination for wine enthusiasts.
The perfect destination should seem exotic yet feel like coming home. That is the very definition of Sedona, a small town blessed with an abundance of scenic beauty. Come experience it for yourself.

First Friday in the Galleries
Sedona kicks off every month in style.
The First Friday in the Galleries brings out a wide-eyed and eager crowd of art lovers. For a few hours, the streets of Sedona are almost as fascinating as the surrounding landscape. On the first Friday of the month, dozens of Sedona’s preeminent art galleries stay open into the evening with many hosting special events, demonstrations and receptions.
The last rays of sun streak the red rock cliffs with a glossy sheen and a dreamy light washes over the town as the fast-falling dusk bruises the sky in shades of burgundy, blood orange and plum. Into this radiant color palette, patrons move from gallery to gallery. Food is nibbled, wine is sipped and inspiration is inhaled. Light and music spills from open doors. Even the Sedona Trolley offers free transportation during First Friday in the Galleries that lasts from 5-8 p.m., circulating among galleries.
The raw physical beauty of Sedona lures artists, ignites their passions and often provokes their best work. Then it all goes on display at studios and galleries around town. Visitors can savor every medium including Western bronzes, whimsical kinetic sculptures, contemporary jewelry, Native American kachinas and weavings, fine art paintings, large format photography, stained glass, ceramics, woodcarvings, architectural décor piece and many more.
And while most galleries are open daily, a special magic exists during First Friday in the Galleries. There’s a palpable energy as so many like-minded people gather in the twilight and admire the textures, colors and details of these vibrant one-of-a-kind expressions of art. First Friday in the Galleries is very much the quintessential Sedona experience, a celebration of beauty, of fervor and the creative spirit.
Two kinds of people are drawn to Sedona, artists and lovers of art. The first Friday of every month is their night to howl.
